Jeremy Wagstaff's LOOSE wire: A Directory Of Programs Designed For USB Drives
Here’s a directory of applications designed to run on USB drives, which Jeremy Wagstaff wrote about this week in the AWSJ and WSJ.com.

* Chat/instant messaging: ICQ (not yet available), Miranda, Trillian Anywhere
* Browsers: Portable Firefox
* Operating Systems: Linux, Windows CE, VPM (Linux)
* PIMs/organisers: EssentialPIM, Sunbird
* Email: JBMail, Portable Thunderbird, EmailVoyager, PocoMail PE
* Encryption: CryptoAnywhere
* Office: AbiWord, OpenOffice (instructions in a PDF here)
* Music: Zoom Player, XMPlay
* Web Authoring: NVU

I've tried the portable versions of FireFox and Sunbird. I want to set up my SanDisk Cruzer Micro to run the others listed here as well.
